Subject: School, School everywhere, but not a drop to drink

Sorry for the promiscuous title, but I had to do something creative.... So anyway, school started, and I actually enjoy my classes! Marine biology, history, band, and screenwriting. Screenwriting is my favorite of course, due to the high volume of movies we get to observe daily. Today we watched some of the godfather, and some other movies that I didn't like, haha. We are also coming up with ideas for our own screenplays, which is really fun, but demanding. The hardest part about writing is knowing what to write about, as Syd Field says. So anyway, speaking of which, this has been a short entry, but whatevs. hehe

Subject: Just an update

Hey yalls,

I got back from staying 5 days in Californ-I-A, and it was pretty awesome! We had THE best cupcakes ever (sprinkles cupcakes) and I had 3 amazing hamburgers. (from Houston's, The farm, and Comm sa(spelled wrong)). We hiked a bit too in Runyon canyon, which was fun, albeit hot as heck. Overall it was a great trip, but its even better to be back home. The airport is way to hectic, with the "hurry up and wait" mentality. But oh well, I made it safely home. Also, School starts on the second :( (4 days left of summer.... ewww) Although I do have some nice classes (screen writing, marine biology, etc) and I am looking forward to seeing some people who I haven't seen since summer started.  So its not all bad. Also, I learned to play "Griminelli's Lament" by Ian Anderson on the flute! in my opinion it is the most beautiful instrumental ever. I love it..... also, my brother gave me a mac (yeah, but its not bad, haha) I still much prefer PC, but its fun to play around with. So anyway, Thats about all I have to say, so see yalls latah!

Subject: Katahdin and the awful 12 hour hike

Hey homedogs (sorry),

My friend Michael and I got back today from camping in Maine, and it was FUN! we only stayed 2 days, but it was enough after hiking for 12 hours on Katahdin (tallest mountain in Maine). The hike was SUPPOSEDLY only 17 miles. but I think it was atleast 20, because the last stretch (which claimed to be only 3.3 miles) was atleast 5 miles. The fires at midnight (reference to Tull) were the best part, but the hike wasnt bad..... Even if my thighs, back, ankles, and knees now ache like crazy...

Here is a nice picture I took about half way through the hike: (thats my dad on the saddle trail...)

Subject: Tull

Hey guys/gals!

The Jethro Tull concert was amazing! Ian's flute skills seem to just get better and better as the years pass, and his singing is still good too. For someone aged 60 years, he sure can move around that stage! He made some awesome jokes too. Martin Barre (Guitar) did an amazing job too! alot of weird people were there too, in the audience.... Anyway, In other news, I am still working on that simply maya challenge, and its going quite well! (If you do anything with Maya, I suggest you join). So, for every long entry, there is subsequently a shorter one, so I'm just gonna leave now, haha

Oh yeah, Im camping the 9-12th of august in Maine, which should be awesomazing! (yeah, I made that word)

Subject: How time flies when you are reading lovecraft!

Hey everyone,

Sorry for not updating this when I said I would, but who reads this except for pedophiles anyway, right? haha, just kidding..... I hope.... :)  Anyway, I have been reading alot of H.P. Lovecraft's work lately, and it is amazing. Dark and smart. He seems like he was an amazing person. Anyway, on August 4th I am going to a JETHRO TULL CONCERT, which should be amazingly amazing. I cant wait. And only a week after it, I am going camping for 3 or 4 days! wooooooooooooo.... This will be a fun month! So anyway, I highly suggest reading "a shadow over innsmouth", it is a short story based in town that was inspired by newburyport, which is awesome. Its soooo creepy, and its by Lovecraft. I have been working alot lately with Tamriel-Rebuilt to texture some instruments for their oblivion mod, and they need all the help they can get, so google it and head on over there if you like the elder scrolls series, and if you can model, texture, write, or use the editor. I am also participating in the Simplymaya challenge right now, (Link) and I have been working on my own mod whenever I can. I really need help, because right now I am a one man team, and the progress is going MUCH too slow. the architect from simply maya was a HUGE help, and he did alot of the writing that is on there right now, and I hope there are some modelers who can help me too..... God knows I need it, haha... Also, I have been playing flute alot lately, and I am getting better and better. I need to work on my fast tonguing so I can play some of the faster parts. I also need to work on fingerings a bit, because I cant go from one to another quick enough sometimes. This was a long blog entry, but I suppose thats a good thing! Anyway, feel free to email me at Andy@joopsontoons.com or AIM me at "Joopson" without the quotes!

Any ideas would be welcome... just AIM me at "Joopson", or email me at Andy@joopsontoons.com, I need all the inspiration i can get. This is also the first blog in which i have done more than 1 entry in, so YAY! even though it doesnt matter, haha. Also, i need some help with that morrowind mod i am making, so if some people who can draw, write, or 3D model can help me, it would be MUCH appreciated.... Also, i have added stuff the the mods page... so feel free to check it out, and maybe even bookmark it, haha. Ok, so thats all!

(BTW, i know this isnt technically a blog, considering no one can comment, but who would anyway? haha)

Subject: Better, mostly

Hey yalls, I'm mostly over my sickness as of today, which is AWESOME. Also, i ordered that Jethro Tull 40th anniversary thing, so it should be at my house in 3-8 days! Im psyched. Also, im making a demo reel for some of my better 3D stuff, and it should be good. Is going to include:

1. My character skeletony

2. the quagmire Gifter from Tamriel-Rebuilt

3. All completed blackened Isles models

4. A Piano

5. My shed

6. a robin

7. a storm-drain environment (cool)

8. Chandelier

9. a plant from my house

10. a chest from my house (no, a chest to hold things...)

11. a lamp from my house

So it should be awesome. All of those are gonna be low-poly, because i want to go into the game industry. Also, Im getting ALOT better at playing both "My God" and "Bouree" on the flute! I can play most of the fast stuff, albeit loosely... Also, ONLY 1 DAY OF SCHOOL LEFT! of course we have finals that day, but still..... and i have to remake all of the work i missed by then.........

Oh well, talk ta ya'z lata!

Subject: BLOG!

Hey everyone, I decided to make a blog today. I'm sick.... And I was actually bored enough to make a blog. So anyway, Blackened Isles is goin' good.. I'm getting alot of the models done, which i hope to post up soon, but they don't have textures yet, so don't expect to be amazed ;)... also, as many know, I play the flute. Not just any flute though, its amazing Jethro-Tull-style Flute. I'm learning the song "My God" right now by them, and its goin' great. It's a bit fast, but practice makes perfect right?

Also, A new remastered 40th anniversary addition to Tulls first album came out today. It should be awesome.... I can't wait to get it!

I'll try to post every week, so see you soon!
